The FC Barcelona announced a sponsoring agent with Spotify on Tuesday evening. As the Catalans officially communicated, the Swedish music streaming service becomes a new main sponsor of the association.
Spotify will not only advertise on the jerseys of men’s and women’s teams for four years from the 2022/23 season, but also namesake of the stadium. The Camp Nou is then called “Spotify Camp Nou”.
The deal is intended to bring the highly indebted Catalans according to media reports 280 million euros. The deal should start early July, but before April, he still has to be ratified by an Extraordinary General Assembly of the Bluegrana.
